Advertisement: Assistant Lecturer in Russian in the School of Modern Languages and cultures

Applications are invited for the following post: 

Assistant Lecturer in Russian in the School of Modern Languages and cultures (Ref.: 495699) (to commence on August 15, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter for 10 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding)

Applicants should possess a relevant Master’s degree with proven expertise in the teaching of Russian to non-native speaking learners plus at least 3 years’ experience in teaching Russian at all levels in tertiary education and fluency in English.  They should also be familiar with recent trends in language teaching and assessment methods.  International experience especially in East Asia would be an advantage.  The appointee is expected to teach a range of language courses at various levels; contribute to the production of learning material, new courses, and a Russian minor; and design various procedures of assessment.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
