Advertisement: IT Officer/Technical Officer in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures

Applications are invited for the following post:

IT Officer/Technical Officer in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 201801058) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related disciplines, good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese and the ability to work independently with tight timeframe. They should preferably with 3 years' proven work experience in client-server web-based systems development and implementation; hands-on experience in web applications including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL/SQL, etc. They should also process knowledge of computer virtualization, networking, and maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows, Mac and Linux platforms; knowledge and experience with multi-media systems development and implementation audio visual production works and presentation equipment. The appointee will be responsible for supporting for the implementation and maintaining of IT systems, servers, AV equipment and other platforms. He/She will also provide daily proficiency in PC desktop applications, general IT, AV support and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
