China Studies Field Trip: Harbin and Heihe, Heilongjiang Province 黑龍江省哈爾濱市及黑河市學術考察之旅 [28 May-4 June 2018]
Date: 8 Feb 2018 (Thu) Time: 4:30-5:30pm Venue: Room 4.34, Run Run Shaw Tower, Centennial Campus, HKU
Application deadline: 7 Mar 2018 (Wed) 12:00noon
Open to all HKU undergraduates with preference given to China Studies majors and minors, and students who have taken or are currently taking China Studies courses if registration is oversubscribed
Language: Activities and lectures organized by the mainland host institution will be conducted in Putonghua
Trip Highlights: Visits to Heilongjiang Provincial Museum, Harbin Motor Factory, Russian-Chinese Overseas Memorial Museum, Aigun Historical Antiquities Museum Introduction to the natural environment and agricultural production of Northeast China Day trips to villages around Harbin for in-depth exposure to folk religion and ethnic minority culture Lectures and conversations with Heilongjiang University and Heihe University faculty and students
Expenses: Accommodation, meals, and local transport will be provided. Students will be responsible for any incidental or personal expenses. Airfare will be subsidized.
