Advertisement: Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures

Applications are invited for the following post:

Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (SMLC) (Ref.: 201701471) (to commence as soon as possible for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding)

Applicants should have a recognized first degree in humanities or related fields with relevant work experience; excellent command of written and spoken English and French; proficient in IT skills; and excellent inter-personal communication skills. They should be capable to work in an unconventional, multi-disciplinary team and work independently, efficiently and under tight timelines. They must provide proof of French proficiency of level C1 at the time of application. Those with first-hand knowledge of Europe and experience in working with Europe related institutions are preferred. The appointee will be responsible for designing and developing online educational materials in French; interactive media authoring and maintenance; establishing and maintaining contact with French language learning centres in universities in France and in Hong Kong; providing assistance in teaching, research and outreach activities; and ensuring the smooth running of the project in respect to budget, the communication between project partners and reporting.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview in English and French.
