Dr. Dominic Sachsenmaier is Professor of Modern Chinese and Global History at Georg-August-University Göttingen - in the past, he held faculty positions at Duke University and the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the president of the Boston-based Toynbee Foundation (Global History). Among other works, he is the author of Global Perspectives on Global History (Cambridge UP)
