Advertisement: Half-time Teaching Assistant SMLC (closing: 6 January 2016)

Applications are invited for the following post:

Half-time Teaching Assistant in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 201501578) (to commence from January 18, 2016 until May 30, 2016)

Applicants should possess a good undergraduate and postgraduate degree (a Masters or PhD candidate with ABD status would be an advantage) in one of the following disciplines: European Studies / History / International Relations / Political Science / Geography or a European language.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English, proficiency in at least one other European language, good knowledge of European affairs, good presentation skills, and be self-motivated and able to work under pressure.   They should also have good interpersonal and IT skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly within a team.  The appointee will be responsible for course organization, teaching of tutorial groups, and marking assignments.
