In 2015, the State of Israel and the Federal Republic of Germany celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The consuls-general of both countries will discuss the following questions among others:

- The politics of remembrance and critical reflection around the common trauma of the Shoah in Israel and Germany

- What does historical responsibility mean today? What are its consequences for foreign policy?
- What lessons can be learned from half a century of relations between Israel and Germany?
