Africa @HKU – Angola Today
In the framework of the newly introduced “Africa @HKU” series of the African Studies Programme of HKU, we are glad to announce the first event of year entitled Angola Today. This event comprises of the following activities:
1. Seminar: Africa: Challenges and Opportunities Guest Talks by Dr. Ria Sinha, HKU & Carina Kiala, Consulate General of Angola in HK Date: 28 October 2014 Time: 10:30 – 12:20 Venue: Room CPD2.37, Centenial Campus
2. Seminar: African Lusophone writers. The remarkable life and work of Angolan poet, Agostinho Neto. Date: 4 November 2014 Time: 10:30 - 12:00 Venue: Room CPD 1.45, Centennial Campus
This event is part of course PORT3001 and is organized by the Portuguese programme with the support of the African Studies programme and the Consulate General of Angola in Hong Kong. It will be held in Portuguese. No registration is required
3. EXPO – Angola Today Date: 6 November 2014 (Thu) Time: 12:45 – 16:30 (launching ceremony at 12:45) Venue: Centennial Campus (opposite to Bank of East Asia)
