We want to be free! – Crossroads of German and European History in Global Perspective: 1953 – 1968 – 1989

This round table will inaugurate the exhibition:

We want to be free men! The East German People’s Uprising of 17 June 1953

The exhibition commemorates the 60th anniversary of the East German people’s uprising against their government in 1953 and will be shown in the Foyer of the Chi Wah Learning Commons, Centennial Campus, HKU, from 2 December 2013 to 13 December 2013. The exhibition is jointly organized by the German Consulate General of Hong Kong and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at HKU.
