All day long : Day of the Dead
Date: 5-6 November 2012 

The Consulate General of Mexico, in collaboration with the Spanish Programme from the School of Modern Languages and Cultures and the Global Lounge, will be paying homage to Carlos Fuentes, Mexico’s most prominent modern writer, who died in May 2012 at age 83.

A series of activities will be held on November 5th and 6th, 2012 to honor the illustrious career of the renowned author, including an 'ofrenda' or traditional Day of the Dead altar. We invite you to join the programme:

Note :
Soul of Mexico (Spanish: Alma de Mexico) is a series of five documentaries featuring Mexico's history, art and culture.

The series traces Mexican history from the time of the ancient Olmec civilization, to Spanish conquest, until nowadays.

The Soul of Mexico, produced by the National Council for Culture and Arts (CONACULTA) and Mexico's media company Televisa, is narrated by the late Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes, known for such novels as 'The Death of Artemio Cruz', 'Where the Air is Clear' and 'Old Gringo'.
