The School of Modern Languages and Cultures’ American Studies Programme and the Hong Kong-America Center are organizing a two-day seminar at the University of Hong Kong:

From Frame to Frame and Across the Gutters: Asian American Graphic Narratives

This working papers seminar brings together scholars from Hong Kong, the mainland, Japan, Australia, and the United States to discuss the growing phenomenon of the Asian American graphic narrative.

Scholars’ emerging essays will investigate narratives from historical perspectives, literacy criticism, visual culture, and popular culture.
