Talk: Spain - a social and economic portrait

Date: 6 October 2011

Spanish Programme, School of Modern Languages and Cultures HKU invite you to a talk titled:

Spain: a social and economic portrait

Mr. Javier Sanz Muñoz ( Spanish Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong)

Date: October 6, 2011(Thursday)
Time:  2:00-3:30 pm
Venue: K.K. Leung Building Room 609

Language: English

Spain is a diverse and complex country. Its geographical distance from Asia makes it difficult for Asian people to know this country beyond common stereoptypes.

The stereotypes held about Spanish lifestyle do not represent the real economic and social life nowadays. During my presentation, I will deliver an updated, objective and accurate portrait of today’s Spain, paying attention to our main social and economic strengths as well as to the challenges that we are facing due to the world’s economic crisis.

All are welcome.
