Fu-Fu Live from Japan

The five young Japanese female singers that constitute the group 'Fu-Fu' have been invited by the Summer Institute in the Arts and Humanities to make their Hong Kong stage debut at the University’s Loke Yew Hall.

Date:   July 15, 2009 (Wednesday)
Time:   7:30 pm
Venue:  Loke Yew Hall, HKU

Performers: Aya Murata, Moe Tanaka, Kanami Matunaga, Chisato Minami,Yu Kawai

'Fu-Fu' was founded in February 2008. As pop idols in Japan, they started out with street performances but soon repositioned themselves to give live performances on stage. In 2009, they took a new direction and came up with the theme of 'chorus with dance performance'. They perform anime songs with lively dancing and harmonizing.

'Fu-Fu's performance will be followed by a discussion session with their producers on the formation of idol groups in Japan. The group will also share how being idols has impacted their lives.

Admission is free and on a first come, first served basis. To register, please visit: http://hkuems1.hku.hk/hkuems/ec_hdetail.aspx?UEID=11951&guest=Y
