Dr. Soliman Abel azim El Attar is a Professor in the Arabic Department of Cairo University's Faculty of Arts and serves as the Academic Director of the Faculty’s Arabic for Foreigners programme. He has spent extended periods of time in the Spanish-speaking world, most notably in Spain and Chile, and has translated a number of classics of Hispanic literature into Arabic. He is also the author of several academic books, as well as novels, and collections of short stories. 

Dr. Soliman Abel azim El Attar is the External Examiner for the School's Arabic Programme.
