The Crisis of the Humanities and the Redefinition of Hispanism

The crisis of civilization provides the framework for this lecture which aims to present an alternative humanistic approach to Iberian and Latin American cultures.

The lecture focuses on the “first European enlightenment” of the 12th and 13th centuries, as well as on the Latin-American literary canon of the 20th century. It also touches on colonialism, post-colonialism, nationalisms, and European integration.

All are welcome. No registration required.
