Thai Lantern Festival

"Loy Krathong" Thai Lantern Festival

Time: 5:30 pm
Venue: Global Lounge, HKU

Loy? means to float and 'Krathong' are the traditional banana leaf boats,  decorated with flowers and candles that are released into rivers and waterways to show respect to the goddess of the waters.    

The School of Modern Languages and Cultures' Thai Lantern Festival will include:

- Thai Dance Demonstration by Thai Language Students
- Krathong Workshop
- Thai Costume Workshop
- Thai Food Tasting
- Performance by a Thai Band
